Week Commencing 23rd Sept

Get it Booked

Fri 27th Sept- Bourgeois and Maurice Momento Mori- Norwich Playhouse

This may be the most exciting week of 2019 as brother and sister/alien weirdo’s/ cabaret artist’s Bourgeois and Maurice return to Norwich for the first time since they saved the world without trying. If you have not seen these 2 just check out their albums on Spotify (other music providers available) and you will get the flavour of what you are in for and believe me it will be hilariously fabulous.

What will they perform? …. I don’t know. What’s it about?…. An educated guess would say death but they are aliens so does death really effect them the way it does us mere mortals. What will they wear?….. Sequins probably.

I have been fortunate enough to see these guys a few time and they are truly amazing. They are currently planning their Home Manchester show to be launched next year so a field trip to Manchester is on the cards soon. I cannot stress just how brilliant these 2 are… they take what’s going on in the world surround it with irony and then throw it back out in the most fabulous of ways. As I said check them out on whoever you stream music with, watch their TV show Youthansia on Youtube and then fall in love and book the last few remaining tickets for this show. If you can’t tell I like Bourgeois and Maurice.

One To Watch

Sat 28th Sept- Come Dance With Me- Norwich Playhouse

I am not sponsored by Norwich Playhouse but it does consistently bring us some amazing underated shows, so as much as I would love to choose a different venue… the Playhouse wins this week’s One to Watch with the incredible Come Dance with Me. Choreographed by one of Strictly Come Dancing’s own choreographers this show promises to be a heavy mix of dance and drama.

Based on a true survival story of two young girls going through the Second World War aspiring for a better life waiting to see if they get what they want. The important family drama celebrates Hollywood’s golden era with some classic ballroom dancing. So why not put strictly on Sky + this weekend and come see some actual live dancing.
